Epocs Engineering Support and Services
Our part programming department uses the latest in manufacturing software including:
SolidWorks 3D CAD Design software,
Amada’s AP100 programming software,
and
MasterCam CNC Software.
Our experienced programming department can build parts and assemblies from your solid model files or dimensioned blueprints. If necessary, we can assist you with part design through the finished product. The EPOCS Postfix mailserver can accept emailed files up to 10MB making it possible to quickly transfer your files for quote and manufacturing.

In order to process customer orders, please provide two file types for each part-
- Model geometry to program from, and
- Part drawing with notes, customer information, etc.
The EPOCS programming department uses SolidWorks 3D CAD Design software. The file types we prefer to process are solid model geometry, favoring SolidWorks native files or any of the file types supported by SolidWorks. 3D model geometry is preferred. If native files are not available then the next best file types would be STEP, IGES, or Parasolid file types. If 3D model files are not available, EPOCS can make use of 2D file types such as DXF or DWG files. If no electronic data is available, EPOCS can create the necessary geometry from customer supplied drawings, though additional charges may be applied depending upon the complexity of the project. The CAD model files only contain the geometry that represents the part. An additional file is needed to support the model/geometry file. This file would provide information including material type, finishing, expected tolerance, hardware call-outs, tapped holes, etc, and any outstanding features or information needed to produce the customer’s product. The file type for this purpose could be a PDF file or any drawing file that could be used to support the geometry file.
